DANSER L’AVENIR
Founded and chaired by dancer and choreographer Sébastien Bertaud, the non-profit association “Danser l’avenir” offers a program of artistic and cultural education of excellence through the experience of choreographic art.
This innovative educational program is entirely free of charge. It is aimed primarily at young students who are distanced from culture, from modest backgrounds, fragile families, living with disabilities, or from so-called priority neighborhoods.
It is an awareness-raising journey that complements school education, conveys values of excellence, and introduces students to works of heritage and contemporary creation.
The choreographic workshops, led by a collective of experts in artistic and cultural education, aim to open the field of the Arts to as many people as possible.
Through the practice of dance, it is a wonderful opportunity to foster new forms of dialogue with others and to combat:
- isolation,
- sedentary lifestyles,
- school dropout.
It is also an artistic contribution to the fight against stereotypes, bullying, and discrimination.
In this sense, “Danser l’avenir” is a tool for empowerment and social inclusion through culture, contributing to academic success and, in the longer term, to social cohesion.
The program’s objective is also to support and enhance cultural policies regarding the training of future generations and the reduction of inequalities in access to culture, in the service of the common good.
The values of respect, personal achievement, and empowerment are thus at the heart of the project.
Moments of exchange and sharing with professionals in choreographic art are both opportunities for learning dance, identifying young talents, and fostering integration through positive, formative, and inspiring experiences.
